In her media reporting career, Crystal covered major stories on primetime evening newscasts, including George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis, the resulting riots, investigations into hate crimes after the Atlanta spa shootings, and significant political races like Atlanta’s 2021 mayoral election and Georgia’s 2022 primary. Her experience spans television newsrooms across the country, from Hawaii to the Pacific Northwest, New England, New York City, the Midwest, and the South.

Putting her on-camera skills to the test, she is also an actress, recently appearing as a co-star on Tyler Perry’s upcoming film, “Black, White, and Blue.”

Crystal holds a degree from Tufts University, where she double-majored in English and Women’s Studies, with a minor in Media and Communications. Her memoir, “More To Tell” was an Amazon bestseller under the Biographies of Journalists category. 

A former competitive swimmer in the Junior Olympics, Crystal now enjoys spending her free time taking her rescue dog “Scout” to the park, tasting the best food Atlanta has to offer on Buford Hwy., and collecting passport stamps and thrilling travel tales.
